I am an award winning poet, passionate about spoken-word performance. I hold a BA Arts and am a university trained editor/ proofreader. I have facilitated poetry workshops to school students to teach them the art of writing and performing poetry. I can work with you one-on-one to develop your poetic voice.

Commissions

Do you have a project in need of written content and/ or poetry? I can write works especially for you and your needs as well as provide you with audio voice over if necessary. I have collaborated professionally with artists on large scale art installations and videography projects. My work has been used alone and in combination with music.

Commissioned work fees:

• Fees are based on length and technicality of the written work/ poetry
• This will be negotiated between us in your free consultation
  

Performances

If you need a poet to perform live poetry at an event, I would love to be there. If there is a specific vibe or theme to your event, I may even write new work to suit it (it’s just what I do). I have performed poetry at many different events and occasions. I just love performing! If it is a fundraising event, I will perform free of charge. However, for events other than fundraising, it will incur a charge.

Performance fees:

• Fees are based on the duration and nature of the performance
• This will be negotiated between us in your free consultation

Editing/ Proofreading

I will edit and/ or proofread works up to 10,000 words in length, including essays, short stories, chapters, web content, eBooks and more. The three stages of editing I offer are content editing (looking at development and structure), copy editing and proofreading. Fees are dependent on document type.

Editing/ Proofreading fees:

• Content editing: 3-5 cents per word
• Copy editing: 3 cents per word
• Proofreading: 2 cents per word
• Full package: 5-6 cents per word

Poetry/ Spoken Word Feedback and Coaching

As poets, we all need that person to share our work to from time to time to gain valuable feedback. I would love to be that person for you and offer my guidance and words of encouragement for you and your poetry in the written and spoken form. You can send me your work for feedback or work with me one-on-one for poetry writing sessions or to hone in on your performance prowess (or super powers!).

Feedback will include meter, rhyme, word choice, structure, line development and overall encouragement of your poems.
Coaching will include poetic rhythm/ pace finding (can you find the heartbeat of the poem?), voice expression, tone and emphasis (whispers vs yawps), delivery of key words, hand and body movement, facial expression, character building and how to let loose to the art of poetry performance.

Poetry Feedback fees:

• Poems under 50 lines: $30 per poem and $15 for subsequent poems under 50 lines
• Poems over 50 lines: $40 per poem and $20 for subsequent poems over 50 lines or $15 for subsequent poems under 50 lines

Poetry Coaching Fees:

• Zoom sessions: $30 per hour
